A few things affiliates ask.

What are the criteria to become an affiliate?

It depends on the tier. Review sites and coupon/deal sites (Tier 1) have no follower minimum. Reposting or creating social content (Tier 2 & Tier 3) requires a following of at least 5,000 within the salon and beauty world. Every applicant also needs an audience that overlaps with our customers, a base in the USA and genuine engagement. Commission is calculated on order value only, not shipping or tax.

I have fewer than 5,000 followers — can I still get involved?

Yes. Review sites and coupon/deal sites can apply for Tier 1 with no follower minimum. If you are a content creator with a smaller audience, you may also start with Tier 1 by sharing or creating content featuring Salon City products. You may also qualify for separate content collaboration opportunities outside the standard affiliate program. Contact us and our team can help determine the best option for you.

How and when do I get paid?

Once you're approved and placed in an affiliate group, your unique link and code will automatically track qualifying sales. Payouts are processed monthly and sent to your PayPal account, so please make sure your PayPal information is provided and up to date in your affiliate account.

Can I promote products I haven't personally used?

We prefer affiliates to recommend products they have personally used or have real experience with, as genuine firsthand experience can build stronger trust and lead to better conversions. However, it is still okay to promote relevant SalonCity products you haven't personally used, especially when they are a strong fit for your audience and you can confidently highlight their features, benefits, and intended use.
